Fire Department

The Siloam Springs Fire Department serves an area of approximately two hundred square miles in Northwest Arkansas and Northeast Oklahoma. The Department includes paramedic ambulance service, fire suppression, rescue, hazard mitigation and fire safety education.  These services are provided by 42 full-time, one part-time, and six administrative members.

The Department includes three stations.  The City's Insurance Office Rating (ISO) is Class 3.  The Siloam Springs Fire Department strives daily to improve the quality of service that our customers deserve.

 

 

Fire Department Special Announcement

 

The Fire Department's annual "Fill the Boot" drive will be held Friday, September 3, 2010 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.  All monies collected are donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

This year, donations will be collected at the corner of University and Mt. Olive Street, and in the front of Wal-Mart (at the service station).  This event is one day only, with two locations, come rain or shine!

Facts and Information

  • The Fire Department charges an out-of-city fee for services. This includes equipment, mileage, and personnel fees.
  • All fire reports are held at Station #1. Fire reports will only be distributed to homeowners/renters or legal services and may be picked up during regular business hours.
  • The open burning of materials in the City is controlled by Federal Regulation and State Statute. The City's ordinance 5.18.12-16 establishes specific details for the process of open burning on a day-to-day basis. The City's Central Dispatch Center issues permits and instructions. 
  • Arkansas Law prohibits most outdoor burning, but there are certain exceptions. Please contact the Fire Department for specifics.
