CONSTRUCTION CREW SUPERVISOR

Salary Range:  $45,000 - $55,000

The City of Siloam Springs is accepting applications for a Construction Crew Supervisor for the Public Works Department.  This position supervises the construction crew in day to day operations and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the City’s policies.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a Class A CDL within six months of employment, and a Water Distribution License within one year.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR

 Salary Range:  $30,000- $38,000

The City of Siloam Springs is accepting applications for a Heavy Equipment Operator in the Public Works Department.  This position operates equipment to set grades on construction projects and performs required labor in construction projects as part of a crew.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Class A CDL license within 90-days of employment.

Salary Range:  $30,000 - $35,000

The City of Siloam Springs is accepting applications for a Construction Coordinator for the Public Works Department.  This position is responsible for Coordinating staff, tools and equipment for the day to day operations of the construction crew.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a valid driver’s license. Five years related experience/training preferred.

The City of Siloam Springs is accepting applications for an Operator in the Public Works Department.  This position performs required labor in construction projects as part of a crew and ensures safe work environment.

The City of Siloam Springs is accepting applications for Construction Crew Laborers in the Public Works Department.  This position is responsible for operating tools and equipment used in the installation of water and sewer mains, and street construction.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Class B CDL license within one year of employment.

ANIMAL SERVICES MANAGER

Salary Range: $44,006 – $57, 916

The City of Siloam Springs is currently accepting applications for an Animal Services Manager.  This position performs a variety of administrative and supervisory duties in the day-to-day operation and management of the Siloam Springs Animal Services Department. 

Applicants must be a high school graduate or have a GED equivalent; college degree preferred.  Experience in animal services preferred with three to five years supervisory and management experience, or any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.  Applicants must posses a valid driver’s license.  The successful applicant must be able to establish and maintain successful working relationships with staff, volunteers, the public, and applicable agencies.  Must be able to work in a noisy environment.  This position will be offered the pre-exposure rabies series.

TRAFFIC SIGNAL TECHNICIAN 

 Salary Range:  $26,636 - $46,619 

The City of Siloam Springs Electric Department is accepting applications for a Traffic Signal Technician.  This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of City owned traffic signals and assisting with the design and construction of new intersections. 

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a valid driver’s license, a Class A or B CDL license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.  A Current IMSA Level II Traffic Signal Certification or above is preferred.

CITY ENGINEER

Salary Range:  $65,928 – $87,360

The City of Siloam Springs is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of City Engineer. Under the direction of the City Administrator, the City Engineer oversees engineering design, provides technical engineering support, reviews private development proposals and is responsible for the administration of capitol improvement projects.  Duties also include resolving public technical questions and developing engineering solutions for road, building and utility maintenance projects, and supervision of personnel.

Education and Experience:  A Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering.  Two years experience as a professional engineer in a government setting is preferred.  Must posses working knowledge of planning practices involving land use, etc.

Must be proficient in Windows environment, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Auto Cad. 

Licenses and Special Requirements:  Posses a valid Arkansas Drivers License or have the ability to obtain one.  Arkansas Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Civil Engineering or ability to obtain within three months.

WATER/WASTEWATER DIRECTOR

Salary Range:  $70,215– $82,002

The City of Siloam Springs is accepting applications for a Water/Wastewater Director.  Under the direction of the Director of Operations, this position is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and integrating the City’s water and wastewater activities and functions.  This position provides professional assistance to city management in areas of expertise over the following divisions: Municipal drinking water, drinking water treatment, wastewater collection, wastewater treatment and environmental matters.

This position requires graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or a closely related field; minimum of five (5) years previous experience in Public Works with increasing supervisory experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.  Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license, submit to a background check, and be willing to relocate, and possess or have the ability to obtain an Arkansas Class IV Water/Wastewater License within one year.
