The Utility Billing division is responsible for processing payments, new electric service requests, dumpster/roll-off accounts, new electric and water meter requests, and service disconnections. The utility department works closely with the meter readers to make sure that the readings are accurate every month. The city has approximately 9,000 customers, which are billed in 1 of 2 billing cycles per month. The Utility Billing Office is responsible for annual billing and collections of approximately $42 million.
