The Siloam Springs Electric Department issues Electrical Permits for residents and electrical contractors. The City requires electrical contractors to furnish proof of general liability insurance in the amount of $100,000; a license/permit bond in the amount of $ 2,000 made out to the City and a master’s electricians or contractor’s license. Homeowners working on the house that they own and currently live in are exempt from these requirements.
The Permit Application can be found here. Permits are issued at the Electric Department offices at 1600 W Quarter Rd. The Homeowner, Electrical Contractor or Master Electrician must be present to sign for the permit. Payment can be made with a check or a credit card.
Inspections should be scheduled through the Electric Department Offices by calling 479-524-3777. A day’s prior notice is required for scheduling purposes.
