COVID-19 update: There is no young adult programming at this time. The library is open 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM Monday and Thursday, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM with restrictions. Curbside pick-up is Friday 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM. Please check the "Gradual Reopening of the Library" page for more information.

Free Rice Trivia Challenge

Did you know you could help feed the world through trivia questions?

The Siloam Springs Public Library challenges all young adults to the ‘Free Rice Challenge’!

Go to www.FreeRice.com, create an account if you don’t have one, and look for our group, called “Siloam Springs Young Adult”. When you find that use code F7VQ9YQP to join and start answering questions!

The more questions you get right, the more rice you donate to those in need.

Let’s reach our goal of 500,00 grains of rice by the end of summer!

YA Fort Building Challenge! A Virtual Program!!!

YA Booktalk

Join Albus & Leah as they present booktalks. A different book will be presented each Wednesday. May these booktalks inspire you to come in and check out the book that is featured and/or other books that catch your eye! This week’s selection is "House of Salt and Sorrows" by Erin A. Craig. Join Siloam Springs Public Library Y.A. Librarian Leah and Y.A. Mascot Albus give insight to this chilling fairy-tale remake.

"Pretend She’s Here" by Luanne Rice was last week’s selection. Previously Leah and Albus did book talks on the books "The Rise of Kyoshi" by F.C. Yee and "Dealing With Dragons" by Patricia C. Wrede. All of the book talks are posted on Instagram which is the social media site focusing on young adults. DIY Sessions

Every Thursday, Leah and/or Albus will be presenting a DIY session that will focus on an aspect of Imagining Your Story, which is the theme of the 2020 Summer Reading Program. This weeks DIY session revolves around making a coat of arms We would love to have you share your coat of arms with us so we can share it display it in the library! Signing up for "Imagining Your Story" - Summer Reading 2020

You are invited to register for the summer reading program through the "READsquared" app or at siloamspringslibrary.readquared.com. There are activities, games, and a reading log that allows you to log the number of minutes you have read. You will also be eligible for a drawing that happens every Tuesday just for signing up. The top three readers in this group will be awarded prizes when the program ends July 24. You will be called on July 27 if you are a winner! Join us for this eventful, virtual summer!!!

Monday Nintendo Switch Hour

One full hour of gaming fun! No need to bring games, controllers, or switches, we have our own! Program time is 4:15-5:15 p.m. For grades 7th-12th.

Y.A.L.L. Young Adult Library League

A leadership based program for 7th-12th graders. Participants will do volunteer work at the library while having fun with their peers and sharing their voice for the Young Adult area of the library.


Makerspace Hour

A new program where young adults will work together to create a new board game for the library. The theme is Myths, Stories, and Legends. For grades 7th-12th.
