The Siloam Springs Police Department is dedicated in its efforts to provide the city of Siloam Springs with incredibly well-trained and knowledgeable officers. The goal of the Department's Training Division is to provide in excess of 96 hours of training per officer, per year, that is Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training (CLEST) approved, eclipsing the state requirement of 16 hours of required training each year. The Training Division and the department's eleven certified instructors coordinate and instruct classes that encompass courses from Firearms, Defensive Tactics, and Crime Scene Response to Active Killer Response, Interview/Interrogation, and Ethics. In addition to training our officers, the Siloam Springs Police Departments instructors also provide training to members of the public, civic organizations, and officers from other agencies.
While officer safety is paramount, the Siloam Springs Police Department Training Division focuses its training efforts on any topics that concern the public and any staff deficiencies that affect the overall service the department and its officers provide.
