Code Enforcement

Code Enforcement is a division of Community Development and overseen by the Community Development Director.

Code Enforcement pro-actively patrols the City responding to violations as they are viewed. The Officer also responds to citizen generated complaints. Emphasis is placed on the resolution of all violations within a timely manner.

The vision of Code Enforcement is to work in a partnership with the citizens of Siloam Springs in an effort to keep our City a beautiful place to live while in a rapidly evolving state of progress.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Heal hazards
  • Illegal dumping
  • Improper storage
  • Inoperable vehicles and trailers
  • Nuisance abatement
  • Property Maintenance Code
  • Safety issues
  • Tall grass/weeds
  • Trash and debris
  • Unsafe Structures

Animal Related Nuisances

  • Capturing and impounding stray, nuisance and injured animals
  • Educating pet owners about their responsibilities
  • Enforcing city animal ordinances

  • Investigates animal cruelty and neglect complaints
  • Investigating and enforcing dangerous and vicious animal laws
  • Investigating animal bites and overseeing rabies quarantine
  • Providing adoption, redemption, and surrender services
  • Providing animal registration
  • Removing deceased animals and relocating nuisance wildlife

Officer Availability


 Officers are on duty from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday and Saturday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and can be reached at 479-524-6535. For after hours emergency animal related calls please call Siloam Springs Dispatch at 479-524-4118.
