    We will be discussing the book "Killers of the Flower Moon" by David Graham. This is a true-life murder mystery about one of the most monstrous crimes in American history. In the 1920s, the richest people per capita in the world were members of the Osage Indian Nation in Oklahoma. They used their wealth and then one by one they were being murdered.

  11. Read with Dusty the Therapy Dog

    The main objective of the program is to provide a relaxed atmosphere that allows our young patrons to practice their reading skills. By sitting down next to a dog and reading to the dog, all threats of being judged are put aside. The child relaxes, pats the attentive dog, and focuses on the reading. Reading improves because the child is practicing the skill of reading, building self-esteem, and associating reading with something pleasant. Drop by the Storytime Room and read a story to Dusty.

Sanitation and Recycling

  1. Fall Clean Up 2018

    October 22, 2018, 7:00 AM - October 26, 2018, 4:00 PM

    Fall Cleanup has been set for October 22 - 26th. Cleanup items need to be placed by the curb no sooner than Saturday, October 20th. Crews will collect clean-up items following the same route as your regular weekly trash. Monday’s trash route will have their items collected on October 22nd, Tuesday’s route will have their items collected on the 23rd, and so on. Acceptable items include: appliances, furniture, mattresses, yard toys, lumber, etc. Please bag or box all items possible. *Residents have the option to bring trash loads to the Transfer Station all week, free of charge with proof of inside-city-limit residency. *PLEASE NOTE! CITY CREWS WILL ONLY BE MAKING ONE SWEEP OF THE CITY. PLEASE HAVE YOUR ITEMS OUT FOR PICKUP MONDAY, OCTOBER 24th BY 7:00 A.M. ONCE THE CITY TRUCKS HAVE COME THROUGH YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, THEY WILL NOT BE RETURNING! *
