Outdoor Warning System Testing Changes Days

The City of Siloam Springs will change the days of outdoor warning system to the first Monday of the month at 1:00 p.m. beginning December 2. “Historically we have tested sirens on the first Friday of every month. We’re going to change that policy”, said City Administrator Phillip Patterson to the Board of Directors during his tornado update November 5. The City is moving the testing to the first Monday of the month, effective the first Monday in December.


First Monday testing will give city staff immediate time during the week to make repairs, if needed. Should cloudy weather, rain or other inclement weather occur on a test day, the testing will be delayed one day, until completed.
