>Governor has set up a number of community action meetings to spur local engagement.  

> Has asked for those who are hosting an event to first call the Arkansas Department of Health for direction and assistance on safety protocols. ADH can help anyone having an event, not just those who have to have approval. 

> VA hospital now has 10 approved COVID beds 

> Received 125,000 additional rapid tests 

> Case report: up 2283 new cases= 1437 confirmed (PCR test) and 846 probable cases (antigen test) 

> 18,461 active cases 

> Over 13,000 tests in the last 24 hours 

> 1,081 people hospitalized 

> Up 39 deaths to 2,752 

> Top counties: Pulaski 230, Washington 175, Benton 151, Garland 118, Faulkner 115 

> To date this month= 87,637 PCR tests, 16,332 antigen tests 

> We are above 10% positivity rate for PCR tests 

> Growth rates by public health region: 8.7% growth rate in NWA, 9.5% in central health region 

> Growth rates by age: ages 0-17= 9.7% growth rate, 18-24= 7.4% growth rate, ages 25-44= 9.0% growth rate, ages 45-64 = 8.9% growth rate, ages 65+ = 9.5% growth rate 

> Fastest developing growth rate is the 0-17 age group 

> Wearing a mask at all times is essential when you are in contact with others 

> Recreational and business travel is very highly discouraged 

> 16 districts made changes to their learning plan this week 

> 22 active modifications to education plans 

> 187 districts have not had to make district-wide modification to their education plans 

> Larry Shackleford, CEO of Washington Regional, part of the Governor’s COVID task force
