Parks and Recreation Announces New Fitness Classes

Siloam Springs Parks and Recreation is thrilled to announce a diverse series of exercise classes catering to the community's fitness needs. Whether you're into line dancing, yoga, or Zumba, there's something for everyone.

Community Line Dancing with Glenda Mueller
Join Glenda Mueller for a lively six-week line dancing series starting January 26 at the Parks and Recreation Office, 401 W. University St, Siloam Springs. Classes will be held on Fridays at 6:30 p.m. until March 1. Admission is free, and participants are encouraged to wear soft-soled shoes. Glenda, a retired elementary school principal with six years of line dancing teaching experience, is excited to share her passion for dance with the community.

Beginner Yoga Series with Brittany Acklin
Starting on January 29, Brittany Acklin, a 200-hour registered yoga instructor, will lead an 8-week beginner yoga series. Held on Monday nights at 6:30 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation office, this series covers the basics of yoga in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Bring yourself and some water – that's all you need! The series is free and welcomes participants of all levels.

Week 3: Listening to your body (2/12/24)
Week 4: What is namaste? (2/26/24)

Week 8: Mind-body connection (3/25/23)

High-Energy Zumba Classes with Jennifer Pittman
Shake, groove, and sweat with Zumba. Led by Instructor Jennifer Pittman, these high-energy dance fitness classes are free and take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. at the Community Building, 110 N Mt Olive St., Siloam Springs. Classes are free.
