2024 Great North American Eclipse

A look at the different stages of a solar eclipse.

Siloam Springs is gearing up for an extraordinary celestial event as it prepares to celebrate the 2024 Great North American Eclipse. With a lineup of engaging events and activities, residents and visitors alike are in for an unforgettable experience.

"The 2024 Great North American Eclipse presents a unique opportunity for our community to come together and witness the historic moment, " said Megan Whitworth, Communications Manager at the City of Siloam Springs. "We're thrilled to offer a variety of engaging activities for residents and visitors to enjoy as we celebrate this special occasion."

Solar Eclipse 101
Dive into the significance of the 2024 Great North American Eclipse with our Solar Eclipse 101 video series. In collaboration with Siloam Springs High School, these educational videos cover eclipse essentials, including safety tips and the path of totality. Scheduled for release in March 2024, stay tuned for updates on our website and social media platforms at siloameclipse.com.

Family Movie Night at Siloam Springs Public Library
Join movie-watchers for a family-friendly evening at the Siloam Springs Public Library on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 7 p.m. Popcorn, lemonade, and a classic movie is on the agenda for this fun-filled evening.

Kite Day 2024
Siloam Springs Parks and Recreation, along with the Fire and Police Departments, invites the community to Kite Day at City Lake Park on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 9 to 11 a.m. Bring a kite or get creative at the kite-making station. Children of all ages can enjoy the Touch-a-Truck event, and don't forget to grab a pair of free eclipse shades while learning about the upcoming celestial spectacle.

Solar Eclipse Viewing Party
Don't miss the highlight of the festivities! Join the community at Memorial Park on Monday, April 8, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Solar Eclipse Viewing Party. Experience the eclipse in all its splendor while enjoying food trucks, music provided by RedBeard Sound, games, and more. The main event is expected to start around 12:30 p.m.
